I loved the beautiful views of Lake Superior from my room and the peaceful atmosphere around the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making me feel very welcome during my stay. The accessibility features were also very accommodating for seniors.

More seating available in common areas would help seniors.

Unfortunately, the pool heater was broken, making the already cold water uninviting. The overall hotel aesthetic feels very dated. it’s like stepping back in time, especially in the restaurant, which offers a limited salad bar. The breakfast options are quite basic, with a singular pan of crusty scrambled eggs and a lackluster selection aside from DIY waffles. On top of that, the noise levels can be intrusive, as sounds from the heater and toilets in neighboring rooms interrupt your rest during the night.

Beautiful lakeside experience

I stayed for two nights in a spacious Queen Room with Two Queen Beds, Non-Smoking and absolutely loved the breathtaking views of Lake Superior. The location is perfect for exploring the nearby Porcupine Mountains, and the indoor pool and hot tub were just what I needed after a long day of hiking. The friendly staff made me feel welcomed, and the breakfast options were surprisingly delightful with make-your-own waffles! Just a heads up, it would be great if there was additional seating available in the common areas.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the AmericInn in Silver City. The beachfront location offered fine views of Lake Superior. The breakfast selections provided a great start to my day, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. Some seating areas could use improvement, but this did not detract from a lovely experience.

The queen room was super comfy and clean, which was a nice surprise! The view of Lake Superior added a nice touch. I loved having a mini fridge and microwave in the room too. The beds felt great after a long day of hiking! No complaints about the room itself, but seating in common areas could use some improvement.
